Baumueller-Nuermont Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of Baumüller Nürnberg GmbH, a leading manufacturer and solutions provider of intelligent drive and automation systems, bringing digital technologies to industrial manufacturing, transportation, and other market segments to maximize sustainability, circularity, efficiency, and performance- is looking for a Vice President of Finance.

SUMMARY:

  • Overseeing payroll, billing, accounts payables, and receivables. Budgeting, forecasting, and reporting all business financial activities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversees the Accounting team, processing payroll and account payables and receivables.
  • Directs the financial planning and management to optimize sustained business growth in revenue and profit.
  • Works under broad corporate reporting guidelines to develop, analyze, prepare, interpret, and communicate financial and critical operating information to appraise financial results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and prior year and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the business unit.
  • Prepares and provides oversight for business unit operating budgets and profit and loss (P&L) statements.
  • Works to determine best practices and high-priority improvements for company accounting and financial processes.
  • Participates in formulating and administering company policies and developing long-range goals and objectives.

  • Directs and coordinates activities of department or division for which responsibility is delegated to further attainment of goals and objectives.
  • Reviews analyses of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine department or division progress toward stated goals and objectives.
  • Confers with chief administrative officer and other administrative personnel to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status and conditions.
  • Performs a comprehensive competitive analysis, including financial metrics and differentiation.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directly supervises three (3) employees within the Finance and Accounting departments.
  • Indirectly supervises two (2) employees within the Installations department.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Have a demonstrated track record of success in a similar role in similar companies.
  • Seven years of professional experience with a minimum of three years in related companies is required.
  • It will be advantageous to understand the following businesses and market segments:
    1. Industrial products, solutions, and services,
    2. Projects, system integration, and machine and equipment relocation and installation
    3. industrial manufacturing
    4. machine manufacturing

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A proven track record of success that includes administrative management, facilities, creative problem-solving and business partner experience is desired.
  • It requires critical thinking skills, communication skills (verbal and written), and interpersonal skills.
  • Remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
  • Friendly, courteous, service-oriented, and flexible, and enjoy working with a variety of staff.
  • Detail-oriented and works effectively under pressure while meeting all applicable deadlines.
