Job DescriptionJob Description

Top Notch Heating & Air is seeking an honest and hardworking individual willing to assist a HVAC/refrigeration technician in the repair and installation of both commercial and residential heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and commercial refrigeration systems. This individual would receive on-the-job training and should have ambitions to learn the job of a HVAC/R technician. This is a full-time hourly position with paid overtime when necessary.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate integrity and professionalism
  • Ability to communicate proactively and respectfully with customers and staff
  • Show an eagerness and willingness to learn and receive instruction/direction 
  • Ability to gather materials, tools and supplies to be used on the work site
  • Furnish technician with materials, tools and supplies needed
  • Clean work area, machines, tools and equipment
  • Perform various tasks that may be assigned 
  • Assist technicians with repairs/installation of HVAC and refrigeration equipment when prompted
  • Adhere to all service standards and safety procedures
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance at work
  • Ability to operate basic hand tools
  • Ability to retain technical knowledge and apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well with others and follow instructions
  • Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Must be able to lift 75-100 lbs when necessary
  • Must be able to pass a drug and background check
  • Must be able to provide at least 2 references
