Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Plumber to join our team for various construction projects in the Coos Bay area. This full-time position involves hands-on plumbing work and ensuring high-quality installations and maintenance of plumbing systems in both residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing systems, adhere to safety regulations, and work effectively within a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform plumbing installations, maintenance, and repair tasks for residential and commercial construction projects.
  • Install, test, and troubleshoot plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and drainage systems.
  • Interpret and follow blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections of plumbing systems and installations to ensure compliance with local and national plumbing codes.
  • Collaborate with other construction teams and subcontractors to ensure coordinated project progress.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent on tasks.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Assist in training and mentoring apprentices and junior plumbers.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and changes in plumbing codes and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Oregon Journeyman Plumber license.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in plumbing installation and maintenance.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the National Plumbing Code (NPC) and Oregon state plumbing regulations.
  • Proven experience in residential and commercial construction projects.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and plumbing schematics.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in using plumbing testing equipment and hand tools.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to weather elements and construction site hazards.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks, including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods.
