Associate Attorney

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Cuddy Law Firm is looking for attorneys to litigate cases in New York City and the surrounding counties*

The attorney will handle a high volume of cases, conduct client intakes, draft due process complaints and litigate cases on both an administrative and federal court level. Intensive training will be provided. This is a full-time position that requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail and the ability to think critically and creatively. The firm serves many clients from underserved populations and the ability to work in a very fast paced environment is crucial. Successful candidates will possess the following qualifications:

- JD from an accredited law school

-Member of the New York State Bar in good standing

-Demonstrated interest or experience in litigation is essential

-1 to 2 years of practice experience, including courtroom experience is preferred. However, we are willing to train new attorneys.

-Strong critical thinking, interpersonal, public special skills

- Strong time management and organizational skills

-Ability to manage a full caseload effectively and efficiently

-Strong computer skills and competency, especially, Microsoft Office, and Westlaw

- Professional attitude and strong personal ethics

-Ability to work independently and/or with a team of attorneys to develop case strategies

- Ability to negotiate, research, and communicate verbally and in writing effectively

- Adaptability and attention to detail

-Ability to communicate clearly and effectively and manage a high volume of cases is crucial

-Excellent writing skills
