Overview:
Field Staffing Experts is seeking a skilled Low Voltage Cable Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing low voltage cabling systems in various environments. As a Low Voltage Cable Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that all cabling systems are installed correctly, meet industry standards, and function efficiently. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the development of cutting-edge technology infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
1. Install, terminate, and test low voltage cabling systems, including but not limited to Ethernet, fiber optic, coaxial, and cat5 and cat6.
2. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other technicians to plan and execute cabling projects according to specifications and deadlines.
3. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with cabling systems, identifying and implementing effective solutions to ensure optimal performance.
4. Perform cable pulls, routing, and dressing in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
5. Utilize testing equipment such as cable testers, multimeters, and OTDRs to certify cabling installations and identify any faults or deficiencies.
6. Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities, including documentation of cable routes, labeling, and test results.
7. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
8. Provide training and guidance to junior technicians as needed, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
9. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to low voltage cabling systems, and recommend improvements or upgrades as appropriate.

Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or technical training in low voltage cabling systems preferred.
2. Proven experience as a Low Voltage Cable Technician or similar role, with a strong understanding of cabling standards and protocols.
3. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
4. Familiarity with a variety of cabling materials, tools, and techniques, including cable management systems and termination methods.
5. Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
7. Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual labor and work in various environments, including confined spaces, heights, and outdoor settings.
8. Valid driver's license and clean driving record may be required, depending on job location and travel requirements.
