Summary:
The TIG Welder position is a vital member of the Manufacturing Team contributing to our safety culture, providing high productivity, high quality welds, flexibility in assignments, and supporting continuous improvement in the following capacities:

 

Location: South Charlotte, NC
Hours: Full-time; 40 hours/week
Work Schedule: 1st shift; Monday-Friday 5:00am-3:30pm
Pay: Starting at $23-$26, depending on level of experience

 

Responsibilities as the TIG Welder :

  • Perform Mig and Tig welds on a variety of thicknesses, sizes, and orientations of equipment
  • Read and interpret engineered drawings and job travelers
  • Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
  • Use basic hand tools such as tape measure, level, square, etc.
  • Follow established safety and quality policies, procedures, and practices
  • Safely use overhead crane and lifting equipment
  • Maintain and complete all required documentation and electronic records

 

Required Qualifications for a TIG Welder :

  • Pass the GTAW vertical test, FCAW vertical test
  • Positive mindset with high energy and ability to self-manage
  • Flexible work hours (standard shift 5:00 – 3:30, M-Th. Friday and Saturday OT as required)
  • Ability to lift 75 lb
  • Knowledge of fabrication processes such as bending, punching, welding, etc.
  • Read tape measure
  • Perform mathematical calculations required for fabrication
  • Understand and comfortable adding and subtracting fractions and decimals
  • Basic tool and shop knowledge
