Job Title: Warehouse Clerk

Job Summary:
As a Warehouse Clerk, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse facilities. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining accurate inventory records are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

1. Inventory Management: Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and accurately record received materials into the inventory system. Organize and maintain inventory by properly labeling, stocking, and shelving items.

2. Order Fulfillment: Process and prepare orders for shipment, including picking, packing, and labeling items according to established procedures and shipping guidelines.

3. Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks to ensure accuracy of inventory and identify any damaged or missing items. Report discrepancies and collaborate with the team to resolve issues promptly.

4. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain detailed and accurate records of inventory transactions, including receipts, shipments, and returns. Generate reports as required by management.

5. Warehouse Organization: Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse, including arranging products and materials in designated storage areas to optimize space utilization.

6. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Report any safety hazards or incidents immediately.

7. Collaboration: Work closely with other warehouse team members, including supervisors, to ensure efficient workflow and contribute to a positive team environment.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in warehouse operations is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a warehouse or similar setting, demonstrating familiarity with inventory management systems and warehouse procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording inventory transactions.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as well as operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (if required).
  • Proficiency in using computers and familiarity with inventory management software.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience operating warehouse machinery and equipment.
  • Certification in forklift operation or other relevant certifications.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in a warehouse setting.
