Pay Rate: $16.00 - $17.00 /hourly
Location: Ceres, CA
Schedule: 6:00am - 2:30pm | Monday - Friday
Job Description:We are seeking a Vacuum Drum Assembler. As an Vacuum Drum Assembler, you will play a crucial role in the production process by assembling and fabricating vacuum drums. Under general supervision, the Vacuum Drum Assembler will set-up and operate basic shop tools to prepare/pad vacuum drums and roll-on pads.
Responsibilities:

• Clean and prepare drums and roll-on pad yokes for padding.
• Apply new pad material to roll-on pads and vacuum drums.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service to departments.
• Follow all safety guidelines and protocols.
• Provide general shop labor for housekeeping and general plant maintenance activities, as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Maintaining our facility/production floor, cleaning, sweeping, moping, etc. Janitorial/cleaning background would be helpful.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous vacuum drum experience is a plus but is not required.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for assembly.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
• Understanding of the tools, materials, methods, and standard practices in the Vacuum Drum Department.
• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints, diagrams, and schematics to ensure accurate assembly.
• Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Use sound, independent judgement within policy and procedural guidelines.
• Ability to organize your own work and meet critical deadlines.
