Susquehanna Printing Company is looking for a Full Time Night Shift Post-Press Supervisor to join our team The Post Press Supervisor will be responsible for effectively leading and supervising the Post-Press department and its personnel with a focus on safety, quality, on-time job delivery, and cost control toward meeting or exceeding company goals.

Susquehanna Printing has expanded its business to include state-of-the-art solutions for scheduling, layout, digital printing, inserting, binding, direct mail, and quality control.
Susquehanna Printing is conveniently located right off the Greenfield exit on Route 30. There is access to countless shops and restaurants within minutes and easy access to major cities in the Central PA area such as Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington D.C.
Climate- controlled manufacturing environment, which may include working overtime as necessary. Must be able to work in a standing position throughout an entire shift.
Post Press Supervisor Essential Job Functions (Full Description):
- Supervise the Post-Press Team with a focus on safe work practices, maintaining a safe workplace, conducting safety audits and job hazard analyses, training and coaching employees in safety policies/work practices, and leading by example.
- Set a good example through a willingness to work with and instruct others while maintaining a positive, cooperative attitude focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Look outside the box for creative solutions to everyday problems, using good judgment, making logical decisions, and using troubleshooting skills.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with other departments and management staff.
- Training, managing and holding department employees accountable for, following established company and department policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with Post-Press and Maintenance team members to establish and maintain a structured Maintenance PM program to ensure peak equipment operating safety, quality, efficiency, and reliability.
- Understand and meet all deadlines in a fast-paced and multi-tasking environment.
- Proficient in helping to troubleshoot the production lines, identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiencies, developing operational KPI’s, monitoring, and communicating results.
- Use of Mirasert and Mirapack systems to monitor pre-print receipts vs orders, build inserting runs in Miracom, plan and run them on the inserting machines.
- Establish, communicate, train employees on, and audit in-process and finished product quality assurance processes, procedures, and check lists to ensure delivery of superior-quality products.
- Implement and maintain expectations for housekeeping, 5S, and Lean manufacturing processes.
- Fill in on lines as part of the team to fill in for vacations and other vacancies as needed.

- Experience operating and/or overseeing production using the following machines is a plus:
Experience a Plus:
- Muller Martini Alphaliner Inserter
- Heidelberg Goss NP632 Inserter
- Muller Martini 300 Saddle Stitcher
- Muller Martini Bravo Saddle Stitcher-
- Experience with Quipp 500 series and Gammerler stackers a plus
Machines/Tools/Equipment:
- Forklifts/clamp trucks and pallet jacks
- Non-power hand tools (wrenches, screw drivers, etc.).
- Proficiency with computers and automated systems.
