Your expertise will be utilized to inspect and validate a diverse range of systems, from technically intricate engineered commercial systems to heating and cooling installations. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct skilled mechanical, plumbing, and fuel gas code inspections to guarantee adherence to approved project drawings, codes, standards, and specifications.
- Inspect and verify testing of various systems, including heating and cooling, ducts and piping, fuel gas piping, refrigeration, building ventilation, exhaust systems, and more.
- Interpret and apply code requirements to ensure the seamless operation of commercial building systems.
- Read and interpret on-site approved plans, specifications, and installation instructions.
- Verify equipment sizing, installation, and testing in compliance with code requirements.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of related work experience as a special inspector.
- ICC Mechanical Inspector certification required before starting.
- OSHA-10 safety training certification.
- Thorough knowledge of NYC Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fuel Gas Codes.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
