Russell Tobin & Associates is currently seeking a Payroll Coordinator to work for our client in the staffing industry. Apply now for consideration

Location: Remote - Must be local to Denver, Boston, Houston, Austin, Dallas, NY, or Atlanta

Pay Range: $24-28/hour DOE

Responsibilities:

  • Manages payroll processing and tracking systems resulting in accurate and timely payroll for hourly contractor employees. Payroll must be processed every week by Wednesday 3 PM EST.
  • Manages compliance with all state and local taxes for all hourly employees, confirmed for accuracy weekly.
  • Apply PTO and sick time usage for hourly talent per pay period and confirm this is aligned with state laws; ensures talent does not use more sick and PTO time than accrued.
  • Provides training on payroll systems to hourly contractor employees and client approving managers by their first payroll deadlines.
  • Maintain records and compiles reports concerning personnel related data as needed and requested.
  • Ensure talent new hire compliance to all onboarding forms in all technology platforms in use at organization.
  • Communicate and collaborate cross-functionally to assist teams with human resources policies, onboarding and payroll for all employees.
  • Uphold values each day at work displayed through actions and behaviors that align with company values of responsibility, empathy, persistence, objectivity, and well-being.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of 3 years human resources generalist experience supporting hourly employee payroll and benefits or elated employee community.
  • 1-year related experience working with, payroll administration, Excel spreadsheets with basic formulas, data filtering and sorting, along with creating basic Excel graphs.
  • Experience working in a start-up culture or small business where the workplace allows for the evolving structure of a team and change and creativity are a constant and where collaboration between departments a necessary element to success.
