Job DescriptionJob Description

Macias Diagnostics is currently seeking ​a Diesel Technician to become an integral part of our team While this role focuses on diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues, our ideal technician candidate would also be comfortable diagnosing and repairing technical issues on all makes and models of light, medium, heavy-duty trucks, as well as RV chassis.  Applicants will need a valid driver's license, a clean MVR, pass a skills test and must pass a pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Diagnose and repair issues in diesel vehicles
  • Diagnose and repair issues in diesel vehicles
  • Interpret diagnostic test results accurately
  • Diagnose and repair issues with hydraulic, brakes, transmission, steering and other systems
  • Perform routine vehicle tune-ups and maintenance
  • Prepare Repair Orders and time estimates for repairs 

​Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 5 plus years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic
  • In-depth knowledge of diesel engine components and operational mechanisms 
  • Knowledge of diagnostic and repair equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • Basic knowledge of computer systems and other relevant electronics
  • Proficiency in the use of diesel engine diagnostics software 
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills
