As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Load Planner.

Job Summary: As a Load Planner, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Dispatcher in coordinating and managing the logistics of petroleum product deliveries. Your primary responsibilities will include answering phones, responding to emails, and providing administrative support to ensure timely deliveries and effective communication with drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders. The role requires exceptional organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  1. Administrative Support: Answer phones and respond to emails promptly, addressing inquiries and providing information as needed.
  2. Load Planning Assistance: Help the Dispatcher plan loads for trucks to deliver petroleum products to designated locations in a timely manner.
  3. Delivery Requests: Receive and process incoming delivery requests from customers, ensuring accurate and complete information.
  4. Route Optimization: Assist in planning and optimizing routes to maximize efficiency and minimize fuel consumption and travel time.
  5. Driver Communication: Communicate with drivers to provide clear instructions, address concerns, and monitor progress.
  6. Schedule Monitoring: Monitor delivery schedules and adjust as needed to accommodate changes in customer requirements or unforeseen circumstances.
  7. Customer Coordination: Coordinate with customers to ensure smooth delivery operations and resolve any issues or complaints that may arise.
  8. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including quantities, locations, and delivery times.
  9. Compliance Monitoring: Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  10. Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to optimize overall performance and customer satisfaction.
  11. Driver Support: Provide support and guidance to drivers in case of emergencies or incidents, ensuring appropriate actions are taken.
  12. Industry Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to petroleum transportation and delivery.

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics or a related field is a plus.

2. Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.

3. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with drivers, customers, and team members.

4. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and problem-solving.

5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions under pressure.

6. Familiarity with DOT regulations and industry compliance standards.

7. Commitment to safety and ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.

8. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
