• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for key categories used to manufacturer our products, ensuring alignment with business objectives, cost reduction targets, and quality requirements.

• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers, and manage supplier relationships to establish strategic partnerships. Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements to optimize cost, quality, and delivery while monitoring the execution of tactical buyers to ensure they are aligned with sourcing strategy and contracts.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and logistics, to optimize the supply chain for the assigned commodities. Streamline processes, reduce lead times, and improve overall supply chain efficiency.

• Conduct detailed cost analysis, market research, and benchmarking to identify cost-saving opportunities. Implement cost reduction initiatives, negotiate favorable terms, and drive continuous improvement in supplier performance.

• Collaborate with our quality teams to establish and monitor supplier quality metrics, ensuring adherence to specifications and industry standards. Drive supplier improvement initiatives and resolve quality issues promptly.

• Identify and manage supply chain risks, including supplier capacity, geopolitical, and market risks. Develop contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies to ensure continuity of supply.

• Develop and manage supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and company requirements. Monitor contract performance, negotiate contract renewals, and enforce terms and conditions.

• Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and technological advancements relevant to assigned commodities. Leverage market insights to inform sourcing strategies and drive innovation.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including engineering, operations, finance, and legal, to align sourcing strategies with business objectives. Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and senior management to provide updates, address concerns, and drive strategic initiatives

 

Job Requirements: BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or degree in a related field, OR 5+ years of Equivalent Experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in the electrical equipment industry.

• Demonstrated experience in managing sourcing and procuring materials for industrial commodities with strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving cost savings and favorable supplier agreements.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making. • Proficiency in using procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office suite.

 

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• A Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or Technical field is a plus.

• Demonstrated experience in managing sourcing and procurement for power equipment commodities.

• In-depth knowledge of global supply chain practices, sourcing strategies, and procurement processes. • Excellent analytical and financial acumen with the ability to analyze data, conduct cost analysis, and make data-driven decisions.

• Proven experience in supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, and contract management.

• Understanding of quality assurance and supplier quality management principles.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities and tight deadlines.
