We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Plastic Surgery Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about assisting in plastic surgery procedures, providing exceptional patient care, and contributing to the overall success of our practice. Responsibilities:

  • Assist plastic surgeons in various surgical procedures, including pre-operative preparations, intra-operative support, and post-operative care.
  • Prepare surgical instruments, equipment, and operating room for procedures, ensuring everything is sterile and ready for use.
  • Escort patients to exam rooms, obtain medical histories, and assist with patient assessments and consultations.
  • Educate patients on pre-operative and post-operative care instructions, medication management, and follow-up appointments.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and billing procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms, surgical suites, and common areas to uphold a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Assist with inventory management by ordering supplies, stocking rooms, and ensuring equipment maintenance.
  • Provide compassionate and attentive care to patients, addressing their concerns and ensuring a positive experience throughout their journey.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including surgeons, nurses, and administrative staff, to optimize patient outcomes and streamline workflow.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to enhance skills and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assistant program preferred. Phlebotomy certification is recommended, not required.
  • Esthetician License - preferred not required.
  • Certification or licensure as a Medical Assistant is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in a plastic surgery or dermatology setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with patients and colleagues.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all tasks.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in basic medical terminology, computer skills, and electronic health record systems.
  • Commitment to upholding confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
  • Passion for plastic surgery and a genuine desire to contribute positively to patient care and satisfaction.
