Driller Helper

GDI Drilling, Inc. is hiring to fill Lead Driller and Drilling Assistant positions. GDI specializes in environmental, geotechnical, and exploratory drilling throughout Colorado and surroundings states. Drillers are expected to travel to job locations and generally work Monday-Friday. Out-of-town jobs may occasionally require two full weeks on. All out-of-town work will include hotel and per diem.Lead Driller Qualifications- has experience on a Geoproble 6620 or similar rig- has experience on a Diedrich D-90 or similar rig- has experience on a Geoproble Sonic Rig or similar rig- can safely manage a team and direct a drilling operation with production goals in mind- can work closely with consultants and provide in-depth knowledge of subsurface conditions- stays mindful of service needed on machinery and communicates needs with team- can be flexible with work schedule (generally 40-60 hours weekly)- maintains a CDL- willing to get additional drilling licenses and accreditations (company will pay for licenses and time)Drilling Assistant Qualifications- can lift 50-100 pounds regularly- can be mindful of heavy machinery and safety procedures- can work closely with teammates and Lead Driller to meet project goals and deadlines- can be flexible with work schedule (generally 40-60 hours weekly)- CDL would be a plus (company would pay for license and time)Additional Considerations (helpful but not required)- knowledge of diesel motors and hydraulic systems- welding and fabrication experience- knowledge in geology and hydrology- fork lift and skid steer certification- tanker license Compensation Lead Driller starting at $29/hour Drilling Assistant starting at $19/hour.
