We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team. You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

  • Hours: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday
  • Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Personal MD
  • Take vital signs, record in EMR, perform systems review and point of care testing and assist providers with diagnostic tests.
  • Administer immunizations, injections, or oral medications as directed by the provider or standing order.
  • Perform point-of-care testing, assist providers with diagnostic tests, treatment, and therapeutic measures, and observe and record patient reactions.
  • Perform phlebotomy and prepare designated lab work and/or specimens as directed by the provider or standing order.
  • Manage patient care flow and set up exam/procedure room appropriately based on patient visit needs.
  • Handle multiple phone lines and email correspondence, exhibiting excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Perform an inventory of care center supplies.
  • Scheduling appointments over the phone, patient registration, etc.
  • Engage in routine patient education and self-management teaching under the direction of the provider.
  • Track future patient care needs such as preventive exams, completion of outside diagnostic testing, and referrals.
  • Coordinate referrals, care gap closures, the release of records, and overall care through patient and specialist outreach.
  • Assist with medical procedures, including minor surgeries.

​Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Excellent phone skills.
  • Minimum of two years of medical experience (primary care preferred but not required).  Please note that we are not hiring new graduates.
  • Experience setting up exam rooms, applying the basic understanding of cleaning, sterilization, and autoclaving procedures
  • Experience working in EMR systems (eClinical preferred).
  • Experience in phlebotomy

Job Types: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
