Job DescriptionJob Description

• Work includes assignment planning layout set up operating and making tool adjustments for various types of manual machine shop equipment.
• Work from blueprints process sheets and sketches to perform production tasks which may include the cutting and shaping of metals and plastics to precision dimensions.
• May communicate directly with engineers to understand the purpose of a part assembly.
• Checks and inspects machining operations against specified tolerances.
• May identify and repair minor machine malfunctions.
• Lifts to 50lbs

Quals--
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
• High School Degree or equivalent.
• 2 - 4 years of related experience.
• Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment a plus.
• Experience working with Manual lathes Mills and Presses

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Have good manual dexterity
• Computer skills and literacy a plus
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Enjoy contributing to a diverse manufacturing group
• Able to embrace change
• Be a Team Player
• Must be a highly organized self-managed individual who works with minimum supervision and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Normally receives little instruction on daily work general instructions on newly introduced assignments
