Job DescriptionJob Description

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Disinfection and sanitization all the physical areas of the processing areas and perform CIP and COP of product contact equipment and components to ensure the safety and quality of products.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

1.       Wash, clean, disinfect and sanitize all physical areas of the processing areas such as, windows, walls, floors, and machinery on a daily and or periodical manner.

2.       Look after proper cleanliness of all equipment and utensils under your responsibility and report malfunction or request its replacement when appropriate.

3.       Clean all equipment properly and timely to ensure a safe food environment and ensure safety and quality of products.

4.       Operate all Clean in Place (CIP) systems and Clean out of Place (COP) tasks as necessary.

5.       Complete routine paperwork and data entry as instructed and required.

6.       Follow established Good Manufacturing and disinfection practices, programs and policies.

7.       Monitor, observe and report any possible malfunction of equipment and/or components.

8.       Observe and ensure food safety, quality protocols, GMPs, and safety regulations are followed at all times.

9.       Perform any other tasks, related or complimentary, as required by the supervisor and or management.

PROCESSES INVOLVED IN (mainly but not limited to)

  1. Cleaning, disinfecting and sanitizing of all process areas and equipment.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

INTERNAL:  All process areas including but not limited to Process, Filling, Mixing and Quality Control.

EXTERNAL:  None.

HUMAN/PHYSICAL DEMANDS & ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:

Moderate walking, standing, and/or climbing; heavy lifting and carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Work outside and inside; work around machinery with moving parts; work around moving objects or vehicles; exposure to dampness and humidity; work on ladders, scaffolding; exposure to slippery and uneven surfaces. Must be able to bend, twist, turn, pull, and lift weights of or about 55 lbs.

INDIVIDUAL’S ACADEMIC AND/OR TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

1.       High school diploma or equivalent.

2.       Material handling experience

3.       Requires handling chemical fluids/substances

4.       Requires physical effort

5.       Training in Good Manufacturing and Hazardous material handling practices (may be provided in-house)
