Job Summary:
The Landscape & Snow Removal Technician is responsible for both landscaping and snow removal duties throughout the year for Relax & Company clients. Due to the seasonality of the business, this position requires flexibility to switch from one role to the other depending on seasonable weather conditions. The position may interact with clients where customer service is a core responsibility. The Landscape & Snow Removal Technician position identifies and acts on customers' needs by delivering the best in customer services to all clients, existing and potential. The landscaping team helps Relax & Company clients' properties look their best in all seasons of the year. The Landscape & Snow Removal Technician reports directly to the Landscape Manager.
Snow Removal Duties:
Responsible for helping remove snow and ice from private roads, driveways, roofs, walkways or porches, and parking lots during the winter weather.
Routes cover both emergency snowstorm openings as well as routine or scheduled winter maintenance.
Responsible for operating equipment such as trucks, plows, backhoes, scrapers, excavators, and hand tools.

Ensure safe and efficient operation of the snowplow equipment.
Monitor weather conditions and respond promptly to changing conditions.
Manage work order and purchase order processes as outlined by Relax & Co protocols.
Landscaping Duties:
Maintain and repair hardscape features, including patios, walkways, retaining walls, and driveways.
Clean and seal hardscape surfaces to prevent damage and enhance appearance.
Install new hardscape features as needed, following design plans and direction of the Landscape Foreman.
Perform all aspects of outdoor property maintenance, including but not limited to yard cleaning, mowing, trimming, planting, gardening, etc.
Identify and act on customers' needs by delivering the best in customer services to all clients, existing and potential.
Ensure safe and efficient use of tools and equipment relating to landscaping work, including but not limited to, power tools, trucks, large mowers, etc.
Perform and report on routine inspection and maintenance of equipment and stocking supplies.
Follow all health and safety regulations including use of Personal Protective Equipment.
Acts as the eyes and ears for the Landscaping Services Manager while in the field, reporting back and helping to identify issues and solutions proactively.
Skills:
Works well as part of a team or independently.
Ability to be comfortable working during stressful and challenging conditions.
Must have high attention to detail and the stamina to drive heavy equipment for long periods of time, often late at night or early in the morning.
Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
Must be adaptable and a problem solver.
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent desired.
Experience:
1-2 years of experience driving in winter conditions, moving snow.
Knowledge of landscaping and property maintenance.
Experience working with customers, directly.
Experience with vehicle maintenance and equipment repair skills preferred.
Licenses & Certificates:
Valid Driver’s License without violations, required.
Physical Requirements:
Mechanical skills to use equipment, regularly.
Physical stamina to handle the long hours of performing strenuous work during the day in hot or cold weather.
Must have high attention to detail and the stamina to drive heavy equipment for long periods of time, often late at night or early in the morning.
Prolonged periods of standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling.
Physical strength when performing heavy labor is required. Must be able to lift to 100 pounds at a time.
Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
