Job Title: Glazing Supervisor

Location: Douglasville, Georgia, USA

Job Summary: As a Glazing Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating glazing projects in the Atlanta area. You will lead a team of glaziers, ensuring that glass and glazing materials are installed accurately, safely, and in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Supervision:

   • Supervise and manage glazing projects from start to finish, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
   • Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.

2. Team Leadership:

   • Lead and mentor a team of glaziers, providing guidance and support to maximize productivity and quality of work.
   • Conduct regular team meetings and safety briefings.

3. Quality Assurance:

   • Inspect and evaluate completed work to ensure it meets project specifications and quality standards.
   • Address any deficiencies promptly and ensure corrective actions are taken.

4. Materials Management:

   • Coordinate the procurement and delivery of glass and glazing materials to the job site.
   • Monitor inventory levels and order materials as needed.

5. Client Communication:

   • Maintain regular communication with clients, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
   • Provide updates on project progress and timelines.

6. Documentation:

   • Maintain accurate records of project-related documentation, including change orders, permits, and safety reports.

7. Safety Compliance:

   • Enforce safety protocols and ensure all team members adhere to safety guidelines and regulations.
   • Conduct safety audits and implement corrective actions as necessary.

8. Cost Management:

   • Monitor project budgets and expenses, working to keep costs within budgetary constraints.
   • Identify opportunities for cost-saving measures without compromising quality.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in glazing or construction management is a plus.
• Proven experience as a glazier or in a similar role with at least 3-5 years in the glazing industry.
• Strong knowledge of glass and glazing materials, installation techniques, and industry standards.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Atlanta, Georgia.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements:

• The ability to lift and carry heavy glass and glazing materials.
• Stamina to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
