Position: Physician Assistant - Pain Management Medical Team

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant to join our pain management medical team. This role offers a unique opportunity to deliver exceptional patient care in a dynamic and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will contribute to the growth and success of our practice while working closely with our physician team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Conduct physical examinations and provide diagnostic and therapeutic services under the supervision of a licensed physician. Develop and implement treatment plans based on the patient's medical history, condition, and test results.
  • Procedures: Perform medical procedures including administering injections and medications. 
  • Care Coordination: Manage patient care by scheduling appointments, ordering diagnostic tests, and maintaining accurate records of patient visits, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
  • Patient Education: Provide education and counseling to patients and their families on treatment options.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, to deliver comprehensive care. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Medical Knowledge: Strong understanding of internal medicine, orthopedic care, and critical care. Proficiency with ICD-10 coding and familiarity with HIPAA regulations. eCW experience preferred. 
  • Clinical Skills: Experience performing physical examinations, developing treatment plans, injections and DME.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a medical office, ICU, or critical care setting is essential. Experience in pain medicine is preferred.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
  • Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.
