We are looking to hire a mid-level IT Qualify Assurance Analyst (QA) for a large insurance company located in Sacramento. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify, document, and mitigate software defects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions to our users.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, execute, and maintain product and user-story test plans, expected test results, milestones, and deliverable dates associated with assigned work.
- Develop, execute, and maintain system and integration testing strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and test cases based on product requirements.
- Working closely with Functional QA leads, Automation Leads and Development on the design and development of automated test scripts per defined requirements or test scenarios.
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated scripts for regression testing of product applications.
- Maintaining existing and creating new automated test cases.
- Develop, execute, and maintain SQL scripts for database validations.
- Collaborate to develop a root cause analysis and solution(s) proposal associated with issue resolution.
- Identify, communicate, and manage defects, risks, and status to management and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain test documentation in compliance with company policy and processes.
- Conduct function and product demos for management, business partners and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related major or 5+ years of Quality Assurance experience.
- Experience working within MS Team Foundation Server (TFS), Selenium IED, Playwright, K6, Lambda Test, Postman, Soap UI, SQL and Excel.
- Experience with API and Load Testing.
- Experience developing and using test automation scripts and tools.
- Proficiency in developing and using Test Plans and Test Cases including defect management.
- Experience developing and using SQL scripts and joins including experience working with SQL Migration and Data Warehouse projects.
- Knowledge of testing within Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Outstanding problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities.
