Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking a Junior Estimator / Project Coordinator to join our team  

Responsibilities:

  • Read and understand blueprints and prepare detailed quantity take-offs.
  • Provide full estimates on large work and all types of contracts.
  • Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
  • Track awarded contracts as required - may include estimating / pricing extra work items, change orders, credit, procuring materials, etc.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Liaison between the field and office.
  • Monitor project progress and recommend adjustments to the schedule as needed.
  • Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office.
  • Answering and redirecting phone calls as needed. Taking messages as needed.
  • Direct and lead the work of estimating staff.
  • Ensure deadlines and cost targets are met.

  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong analysis and critical thinking skills
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Capable of taking a project from receipt of documents to rough estimate ready for review.
  • Ability to multitask and /or delegate if necessary
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
