The Mental Health Practice of Barbara A. Roba, LMHC is looking to fill a position for a Mental Health Counselor.

Candidate must have at least 3 years experience in providing therapy with children as young as 5 years old through the age of young adulthood. Our practice specializes in therapy to children, families, and young adults. Candidates must have their degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling or hold their LCSW and have specific training in various clinical approaches to be considered.

Licensed Therapists who are paneled with insurance companies will be prioritized.

A hired therapist will be provided with a bright, professional, temperature controlled, furnished, private-practice counseling environment. Costs are covered for practice overhead expenses, liability insurance, and some continuing education courses. Administrative duties regarding billing are handled for you.

Necessary Qualifications:

  • Masters in Clinical Mental Health or LCSW
  • Person centered approach when working with clients
  • Complete formalized assessments with clients to assess and refine diagnostic mental health needs
  • Meet needs on treatment plans and provide regular review with clients.
  • Outpatient counseling experience with children, adolescents, families and young adults
  • Training and/or willingness to engage in approach specific modalities such as play therapy, DBT, EMDR, trauma informed approaches, etc..
  • Experience with direct service to clients by means of face-to-face sessions, virtual therapy sessions, and crisis support
  • Engage regularly with community resources in order to promote continuity of care
