Fluids Analyst

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Work in the Lunar Permanence Fuel Cell team performing Thermal and Fluid analysis on components and integrated systems
- Develop and validate fuel cell stack and balance of plant thermal and/or fluid models using MATLAB Simulink (Thermal Desktop, FloCAD are a plus)
- Advanced expertise in MATLAB programming is needed
- Support the development of low and high-fidelity stack, component, pipe, and manifold models
- Communicate analysis results to customers to inform design decisions and ensure requirements are met
- Work closely with design engineers to ensure model accuracy and recommend design improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related technical subject areas
- 5+ years of relevant Thermal or Fluids analysis experience in Aerospace, Automotive, or another relevant industry
- Sound fundamentals in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and physics-based mathematical models
- Ability to read, understand, and use Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) for performing calculations for compressible, incompressible, and two-phase systems
- Work collaboratively in a fast-paced and often uncertain environment while demonstrating personal leadership, technical competence, and attention to detail
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
- Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
