Research & Development Laboratory Technician in Panorama City, CA. Full time opportunity, 100% onsite, M-F 8am to 5pm, paying $19.00/hr.

Responsibilities

  • Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing Work — Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
  • Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintaining them over time.
  • Encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
  • Strong knowledge of basic chemistry formulas and characteristics.
  • Set up, maintain, calibrate, clean, and test sterility of medical laboratory equipment.
  • Prepare standard volumetric solutions or reagents to be combined with samples, following standardized formulas or experimental procedures.
  • Using computers and computer systems to enter data, or process information.
  • Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.
  • Making Decisions and Solving Problems — Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.

Education, Experience and Licensure

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years chemistry and/or equivalent job experience

Qualifications

  • Must maintain an excellent attendance record including on-time arrival
  • Must be able to perform basic administrative duties with a high-level of accuracy (e.g., data entry, file maintenance including alphabetizing and numerical sorting, typing, etc.)
  • Discretion in handling confidential and sensitive matters with general business best practices
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook;
  • Must have good visual/organoleptic alertness, aseptic techniques in testing of the products
  • Knowledge to operate the basic instrumentation, thermometer, Balance and Moisture Balance, and perform the necessary calculations
