Academic and Behavioral Support, LLC has been established since 2017. Our team specializes in working with individuals with special needs. We pride ourselves on our integrity of services and the continuity of care provided. We provide services in schools, in homes and/or community settings.

We are seeking committed and compassionate people to join our team of highly supported Behavior Technicians on a full time basis. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 6-8 hour shifts fluctuate based on workload and availability.

While experience is preferred, we do provide training to those who are interested in pursuing an RBT certificate, or supervision for those who are currently enrolled in an ABA program pursuing a BCBA certification. We value providing our staff the necessary time, support and tools to be successful with the families they work with.

Summary/objective: Technicians are responsible for providing intensive behavioral intervention services to clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental delays in language, cognitive, adaptive behavior, social-emotional, self-care, fine motor, gross motor, and communication development. The technician provides direct services to the children and families, as well as accurate record keeping of case notes and excellent communication with the Supervisor about the program and the progress of the treatment plans. The Behavior Technician maintains a weekly billable caseload of service hours as directed by the Director of Operations.

Essential functions:

  • Implement treatment plans as designed and trained by the supervising BCBA
  • Provide direct therapy in individual and group sessions.
  • Complete weekly program writing and maintain client's program book.
  • Implements individualized treatment plan as written and directed by the BCBA.
  • Collects accurate data and graphs data as instructed.
  • Assist with assessments
  • Maintains dignity and confidentiality for all clients.
  • Maintains and protects the wellbeing of all clients.
  • Completes and returns session notes and other paperwork on time and manages client PHI in accordance with HIPAA.
  • Must have high degree of interpersonal skills and the ability to take initiative when encountering problem solving situations
  • Based on experience and qualifications, your assignment may entail working in schools, homes, and other community locations with children implementing established goals and following treatment protocols
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities and staff meetings as required

Job requirements and physical demands:

  • Qualifications: High School diploma, preferably with Bachelor’s degree required or higher (in psychology, education, social work, or related field)
  • A minimum of one year’s experience working with children with special needs
  • RBT Certification, preferred but will provide training to obtain within 90 days of employment 
  • Ability to stand and circulate for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and the ability to meet State’s driving requirements.
  • Dependable means of transportation to travel
  • Must pass a criminal history background check
