Job Summary:
We seek a detail-oriented Data Analyst (Labor Compliance) to manage certified payroll reports, ensure compliance with labor regulations, and support the onboarding process for subcontractors on heavy/civil construction projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collect and record weekly certified payroll reports from subcontractors and Joint Venture employees.
- Review and approve subcontractor documents, including certified payroll, apprentice records, employment utilization, and union benefit reports.
- Onboard new subcontractors and guide them through the certified payroll submittal process via email and phone.
- Run monthly labor hours reports and submit to management for project tracking.
- Process New Hire Packages for craft/union personnel and ensure compliance with the necessary documentation (e.g., I-9 forms).
- Monitor and notify management of any delays in subcontractor reporting.
- Upload certified payroll to the DIR website and track subcontractor compliance as needed.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Assist with outreach events, such as career fairs, hosted by the compliance department.
- Cover reception duties as needed during breaks/lunches.
- Support the DBE compliance coordinator with monthly reporting and vetting of DBE participation.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel; ability to learn LCPtracker or similar tracking software.
- Knowledge of prevailing wage (Davis-Bacon) rules and union/craft construction terminology is a plus.
- Strong skills in data entry, basic mathematics, and maintaining electronic records.
- Excellent communication skills for working with subcontractors and team members.
