Job DescriptionJob Description

The Anderson Company, LLC, a site development company for over 27 years is seeking a Construction Estimator. The Estimator will create accurate Excavation and Sitework Cost Based Bids. This individual will work in a team environment to ensure all Project Documents are incorporated through project management hand-off and accounting integration. The Estimator shall identify operational strategies potentially used to complete the Project.

Essential functions:

• Thoroughly review all Bid Documents, Plans and Specifications • Create strategy/assist in Bid Item quantification in accordance with the plans and specifications. • Prepare a list of required subcontractors and their Scope, ensure they are aligned with Anderson Bid strategy and needs. • Build Relationships with material suppliers and subcontractors. • Communicate with Customers to line-up Bid with RFP. • Estimate Crew cost including number and class of people, Equipment items, and other daily expenses. • Estimate production. • Incorporate Operations and Project Management perspectives. • Review Estimate with Chief Estimator or Vice President. • Prepare and distribute job turnover information to Operations and Project Management. • Actively participate in advancement of Company Estimating Practices and adhere to internal Standards. • Other duties to help drive our Vision, fulfill our Mission and abide by our Organization’s Values.

Qualifications: • Undergraduate in Civil Engineering or at least 2 years in construction estimating experience.

Preferred Skills: • Software: AgteK, HeavyBid, Bluebeem, Microsoft Office • Sitework and/or Heavy Excavation experience • Identify and incorporate Positive Change • Highly collaborative • Solutions oriented • Clear communication
