OVERVIEW OF THE ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST ROLE:

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with GAAP and company policies.
• Prepare financial reports and analysis as needed to support decision-making processes.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve accounting discrepancies and ensure timely resolution.
• Assist with audit preparation and provide support during external audits.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST:

• 4+ years in relevant accounting experience.
• An expert in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in construction or federal contracting preferred, but not required.
