Summary: Issue, track and file contracts, change orders and purchase orders. Assist the on-site purchasing agents as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Issue, track and file contracts as directed.
- Issue, track and file change orders as directed.
- Research and investigate incoming invoices and application for payments.
- Research and investigate and a variety of issues for the accounting department.
- Research and investigate issues from incoming calls.
- Set up and track start packages.
- Create and keep vendor lists updated.
Contract Administrator Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Job requirements will demand a highly organized person. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- 2+ years contract experience in the homebuilding industry
- Able to read blueprints
- Able to work in a fast paced environment
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to multitask and prioritize projects on a changing daily basis.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Able to pickup system quickly with a strong technical aptitude.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Order processing systems; Spreadsheet software; Word Processing software. Ability to learn quickly any software needed to perform this job.
- Ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience with JDE (JD Edwards), Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point
- Must be very detailed orientated. Ability to learn fast. Ability to work fast and accurate with low supervision.
