Job DescriptionJob Description

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, set up, operate, and maintain welding tools and equipment
  • Perform welding/fabricating activities of custom-fabricated components efficiently and accurately to NADCAP standards
  • Weld various materials including Carbon Steel, Aluminum, Stainless Steel, and Inconel
  • Review dimensional drawings and ensure conformance of finished components with spec
  • Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly to obtain required configurations or positions for welding, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, clamps, tape measures and rulers. Cut/alter material components as needed.
  • Knowledge of visual inspection to identify cracks, indentations and porosity
  • Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notify Production Manager
  • Perform finishing tasks such as grinding, deburring, sandblasting, tapping, etc

Qualifications

  • 3+yrs experience TIG and sheet metal welding, preferably in the Aerospace industry
  • Experience with Jetline semi-automated welding machines 
  • Welding certification
  • Biannual eye exam
  • Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication
  • Read and interpret drawings
  • Fork lift operator, will re-certify
  • Intermediate English proficiency
  • High School Diploma/GED
