Job Summary

The Mobile Diesel Mechanic will travel to job sites and provide maintenance, repair, and diagnostic services for gas and diesel vehicles and equipment to include but are not limited to engine services, brake service, engine diagnostics, inspections, cooling system service, etc. Most common service calls include scheduled services and repairs, break down response, DOT inspections, PM services.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

·       Maintains and repairs hydraulic systems.

·       Perform daily diagnostics and repairs of medium, heavy-duty trucks in our fleet as well as equipment repairs.

·       Receive direction and schedule from the Fleet Manager.

·       Perform instructed and scheduled repair, maintenance, and services as needed on various vehicles and equipment as instructed by the Fleet Manager.

·       Generating work orders through our Fleet Maintenance software.

·       Must be a team player, creative, dedicated, and take responsibility for repair work.

·       Communicate with the team in a professional manner on job status and schedule status.

·       Maintain service truck in a professional manner.

·       Stock and maintain service truck inventory, tool collection, and all necessary paperwork daily.

·       Extensive knowledge of all aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair.

·       Proficient with related computer diagnostic equipment and software.

·       Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

·       Ability to visually diagnose mechanical issues.

·       Ability to read service and repair manuals.

·       Physical requirements include standing, bending, lifting 50+ lbs., and sitting for long periods of time in varied temperatures and weather conditions.

·       Flexible working on all Makes, Models, and types of repairs

·       Adhere to all traffic laws.

 

Education and Experience:

·       High school diploma or equivalent required.

·       All applicants must have verifiable mechanical experience.

·       MUST HAVE A CLEAN DRIVING RECORD.

·       CDL A license a plus but not required.

·       Minimum DOT Inspection Certified.
