Experienced CDL Driver

NOTE: This listing is for a EXPERIENCED Driver/Operator. The interview process for this position will involve a driving test where you will be required to drive a manual transmission, hook, load and chain an excavator onto a trailer, and back that trailer through obstacles. The ideal applicant is currently preforming this work in in the industry and should be confident in their performance in these areas.
Hammonasset is looking to hire well rounded, experienced drivers who can operate tri-axles, hook lifts, roll-offs and haul equipment. Responsibilities will include unloading dumpsters safely, hauling raw materials and transporting, demolition, towing trailers, loading and moving construction equipment such as skid steers, loaders, telehandlers and excavators. Cleaning and basic maintenance of vehicles is expected. Work will be performed at jobsite locations.
Qualifications
Age 21+
Valid Class A CDL and clean driving record
Valid medical card
3 years driving vehicles associated with construction
Drug test required
The physical demands of this role requires bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, the use of hands to feel, grip and twist, the ability to lift 50 pounds or more and working indoors/outdoors as required by the job
Required Skills
Must pass Respirator Fit Test
Ability to operate trucks with 8 and 18 speed transmissions
Mechanical understanding to perform pre-trip safety inspections
Must be able to load and secure construction equipment on a trailer
Physical exam and drug test will be required
