Job DescriptionJob Description

Pounds Transformation is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join our team focusing on metabolic health. The ideal candidate should thrive working in a team environment, has curiosity to continue to learn, and takes pride in assisting patients to become healthier. Having experience in nutritional counseling and cognitive behavioral techniques is a bonus.

Responsibilities include:

Interests in managing medical conditions such as diabetes, polycystic ovarian syndrome, gut health issues, prediabetes, high cholesterol and many more metabolic dysfunctions

initiate, monitor and re-evaluate nutritional and lifestyle strategies to promote weight loss and improve metabolic function

educate and provide guidance for patients through potential barriers for success.

use cognitive behavioral techniques to promote behavior change

formulate menus for therapeutic diets

create resources for patients

We have a teaching kitchen, social media platforms, and many other opportunities for professional growth depending on areas of interest.

Our office hours are Mon - Thurs from 8am - 6pm. The position is in the West Hartford location.

Required Qualifications:

Required Licenses/Certifications: Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration, Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist (CDN) by the Connecticut Department of Health, Certified Health Coach (preferred)

Preferred skills: Clinical Nutrition, Nutritional and Behavioral Counseling, Experience in documenting in electronic medical records.
