Cintel is looking for a Building Automation Systems Support Technician in Huntsville, AL. The BAS Support Tech will be the operational support person assisting the BAS Manager and Cup Manager in daily crucial tasks. 


Responsibilities: 

  • Assisting the BAS Manager in collecting data from the physical field locations and connections to the BAS systems.
  • Documenting systems points, alarm data, trend data, and metering data.
  • Assist in the BAS performance checks on new and old facilities.
  • Assisting in Continuous Commissioning of building systems.
  • Documenting Deficiencies and providing resolution suggestions.
  • BAS support technician will help the BAS Manager with alarm handing, routing, and histories trends.  Along with Assisting in verification of proper integration of systems.
  • Physically verifying points are accurate for energy and histories trend data.
  • Assist Energy Manager with the implementation of the schedules to meet campus energy use goals.
  • Assist the BAS Manager in backing up devices and saving files, to the Main BAS Server Library.
  • Will assist in the review of drawings, RFI’s and shop drawings in support of O&M and new construction projects. Helps prepare responses to the same.
  • Other BAS support tasks.


Required Qualifications: 

  • Must have or be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
  • Niagara N4 Technical Certified (N4 Advanced Certification preferred). 
  • 5 years’ fields experience in Commercial HVAC and Electrical systems and controls. 
  • 1 year experience as a BAS field technician.
  • Familiar with IT networking systems and schemes.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Excel and Visio.
  • Proficient in instrumentation, and HVAC Mechanical and Electrical systems.
