Job Title: Human Resources Generalist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR principles and practices and will be responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level, collaborating with all levels of employees within the organization.
Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Manage the full cycle of recruitment, including job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and extending job offers.
- Coordinate new hire orientations and ensure a smooth onboarding process for all new employees.
Employee Relations:
- Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and resolution as needed.
- Address employee relations issues such as complaints, conflicts, and performance concerns in a timely and confidential manner.
HR / Payroll Policies and Compliance:
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and regulations and advise management on HR best practices.
- Have a strong understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and procedures.
- Complete annual EEO-1, California Pay Data Reporting, and 401(k)-year end reporting.
Health and Safety Compliance:
- Collaborate with safety and compliance teams to ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and promote a safe work environment. Annual visits to site locations required.
- Process workers’ compensation claims when required.
Performance Management:
- Support the performance management process, including goal setting, disciplinary measures, performance improvement plans, and coaching managers on performance-related issues.
- Assist in the implementation of employee development plans and training programs.
Benefits Administration:
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits.
HR Data Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and other relevant systems.
- Generate HR reports and analytics as needed to support decision-making and compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 8 years of experience in HR roles, with demonstrated proficiency in recruitment, employee relations, and HR administration.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations in California and a Federal Level in multiple states.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
