OVERVIEW

Fast-paced, busy roofing construction company seeks a Yard/Warehouse Worker & Truck Driver to perform such duties include manually loading and unloading materials, operating mechanical loading equipment, preparing materials and equipment for installation, picking up material orders, making deliveries to job sites, and keeping accurate records of receipts.

TYPICAL DUTIES

  • Performs a pre-trip inspection.
  • Ensure load is properly and safely tied down in accordance with company policy.
  • Operates tow motor/forklift equipment to load and unload materials.
  • May check incoming materials, equipment, and supplies against packing slips; transport/move materials to the proper location.
  • Must be proactive, self-directed, and highly motivated.
  • Ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous tow motor and forklift experience
  • Sufficient physical strength and agility to perform the work - including the ability to lift 100 pounds, climb up, down and off of trucks/equipment.
  • Some knowledge of the roofing industry including materials and equipment.
  • Valid Class A or B Commercial Drivers License (CDL).
  • Must pass a required drug test and possess a current DOT medical certificate.
  • No DWI or DUI convictions within the last 12 months.
  • One or more accidents and/or severe violations in the last year will be reviewed by HR and Management.
  • Willingness and ability to learn the work practices and procedures applicable to construction yard operations.
