Job Title: Inside Sales Associate

Summary:

BMF Hydraulics is a family-owned manufacturer of hydraulic components supplying the heavy industry and equipment markets. We are currently looking for an experienced Sales Associate to join our growing team. This position will handle incoming calls and emails from nationwide accounts to ensure that all customer inquiries and orders are handled promptly and efficiently. Candidate needs to display exceptional organization, personable customer service skills and experience using business software to manage orders and customer accounts. Must be experienced with computers and business/inventory software. This remote position offers exciting opportunity for responsible self-starter.

 

Hours: Full time; 8:00am – 4:00pm or 9:00am – 5:00pm. 40hr week.

 

Key Job Responsibilities:

Order taking and fulfillment. Receive orders over the phone or by email and send prompt acknowledgment back to customer. Process orders in online inventory management system and fulfill orders with 3rd party warehouse staff. Send shipping and tracking info and to customer.

CRM & Sales data entry. Enter customer info and sales data in BMF’s customer relationship management software. Gather and track daily sales data within CRM system to help provide sales team with sales overview. Capture customer information, including addresses, names, and phone numbers, for future follow-up. Keep customer information up-to-date in system.

Phone Receptionist. Provide customer support over the phone and providing a direct human contact for all inbound calls. Respond swiftly and courteously to customer complaints or inquiries. Answering any immediate customer questions and relaying any technical or big picture items to sales team.

Provide customer support. Answer customer’s urgent questions regarding products, pricing or shipping concerns that may arise before or after sales. Typical customer questions may include confirmation of product pricing and specs, requests for shipping quotes, questions dealing with late or lost shipments, inventory questions, etc…

Outbound Sales calls. Make sales calls to prospective customers. Develop protentional leads with the goal of generating additional sales. Educate customers on BMF products while also recording customer needs. Follow up calls though email with customers and logging all information into CRM system. Build rapport with customers through friendly, engaging communication.

Sales support. Work together with sales team to support overall sales activities. Examples projects may include sending out periodic customer email updates. Sending weekly inventory updates and notifications. Assisting sales team with tradeshow preparations.

Invoicing & AP - Send invoices to customers. Manage accounts receivable and send out monthly overdue statements.

 

Educational Background: 4 year bachelor degree (business or accounting field is a plus)

 

Qualifications:

Highly organized & detail oriented

Business software or CRM software experience required (experience with “Zoho” software is a major plus)

Excellent verbal communication skills and telephone manner

Aptitude to directly communicate with customers and sell product

+ 5 years inside sales or sales administration experience required

Team player, with the ability to work with remote/mobile sales team

(experience in industrial or construction machinery industries is a plus)
