We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper or Staff Accountant to join our team and make an impact with our firm and our clients However, we are willing to train the right person who is great with numbers, math, and spreadsheets. The successful candidate will help us serve our growing client base and be responsible for preparing and analyzing accounting, payroll, and tax records for our clients, preparing sales and payroll tax returns while working with our clients to improve their business.

If you are a self-starter, with the ability to work through complicated bank reconciliations with attention to detail and you enjoy playing "one of these things is not like the other" all day long then you might just be the team member we are seeking.

We are looking for a bookkeeper that can:

  • Support clients using QuickBooks (If you are not experience with QuickBooks, don't worry we can help)
  • Communicate with clients regarding information and documents to be submitted for bookkeeping work and assist them with simple tax and accounting questions
  • Record transactions, reconcile accounts, and prepare financial statements
  • Prepare payroll checks
  • Prepare year end workpapers for tax return preparation
  • Prepare sales and payroll tax returns, including W-2 forms and 1099 forms.
  • Assist with administrative work as needed, assembling documents, cleaning up software systems.

​Qualifications:

  • Team player and problem solver with positive attitude and great attention to detail
  • 5+ years of bookkeeping experience preferred, but a motivated person with a couple years of bookkeeping experience, or who is great with numbers, and who is seeking to learn and adapt may also do well
  • Experience with accounting software is a plus (We use Thomson Reuters Accounting CS and QuickBooks)
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $23.00 per hour
