Job DescriptionJob Description

Excite Energy is seeking two Senior Solar Designers to join our team.

You will work in design and project development of commercial and residential solar, battery storage, and generator projects as well as other electrical engineering projects such as power studies. What sets us apart from most solar companies is we have our own full-time electrical engineers and designers on-staff and we do engineering work for outside firms in addition to our own in-house designs.

Responsibilities:

  • Create plans for solar, battery, and generator projects (this will be the bulk of your time)
  • Perform job walks in advance of creating plans in order to determine project details
  • Track project and building permit time lines to complete tasks on schedule
  • Track and order materials for your designs
  • Be self-motivated and able to work without supervision

​Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in electrical drafting or design
  • Must have Revit or AutoCAD experience
  • Having previously worked in solar is a plus but not required
