We have four full time surgeons and one part time surgeon and a strong team of dedicated individuals who work together in order to provide outstanding patient care.
Travel is required between our offices located in Providence, Cumberland, Wakefield and Johnston.
Job Description
Ophthalmic Technician
We are looking for skilled Ophthalmic Technicians and/or Medical Assistants to join our rapidly growing ophthalmology practice and amazing team If you are not certified, we will train you and help you reach this goal. You will be an important part of helping our doctors treat patients with serious eye diseases. Prefer Certified Technicians but willing to train the right Medical Assistant candidate.
Experience in Ophthalmology a plus.
Responsibilities and Duties
Ophthalmic Technician Duties:
· Obtains and record patient history
· Checks visual acuities, applanation, dilation
· Maintains safe, secure and healthy work environment by following policies and procedures; complies with all legal regulations
· Helps to maintain all exam rooms
· OCT, Fluorescein Angiography
· Intravitreal Injection Set ups
· Assisting with surgical procedures
Qualifications and Skills
Ophthalmic Technician Qualifications:
· COA/COT certification preferred.
· Effective written and oral communication skills a must.
· Ability to work well under pressure.
· Travel to satellite offices required.
