As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing them with exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operation of our clinic. Your role will be integral in creating a positive experience for our patients and helping them feel welcome and comfortable.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and check-in patients, verifying their personal and insurance information
  • Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar efficiently
  • Answer and direct phone calls, taking messages and relaying important information
  • Verify and process insurance claims for patients
  • Maintain patient records in an organized and confidential manner
  • Assist with basic administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely communication

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
  • Proficiency in computer systems and electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism
