Overview

We are seeking a reliable and self-motivated Will Call Assistant to support our Will Call Manager at our Special Events location. This role requires someone capable of managing their own time effectively and overseeing part-time employees when necessary. The ideal candidate will possess forklift operation skills and basic computer literacy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Will Call Manager: Support the Will Call Manager in daily operations, especially during the busy season (May through October).
  • Independent Management: Take initiative to manage tasks and part-time employees during the slow season when the manager is frequently out.
  • Forklift Operation: Safely operate a forklift to manage inventory and equipment.
  • Computer Tasks: Perform basic computer functions related to our unique rental program (training will be provided).
  • Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service during will call operations, assisting clients with their needs efficiently and professionally.
  • Weekend Availability: Work weekends (both Saturdays and Sundays) as scheduled by the manager during the busy season.

Qualifications

  • Forklift Certification: Must be certified to operate a forklift or willing to obtain certification.
  • Computer Skills: Basic proficiency in computer use; experience with rental programs is a plus but not required.
  • Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with the Will Call Manager and part-time staff.
