Position Overview: As a Drayage Sales Executive, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to expand our drayage business and acquire new clients. You will leverage your industry knowledge, networking skills, and sales expertise to build relationships with key stakeholders, identify new business opportunities, and achieve sales targets. This role requires a proactive and results-driven approach, as well as a deep understanding of the drayage market and logistics industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement sales strategies to promote drayage services and generate new business opportunities.
  2. Identify and target potential clients in industries such as retail, manufacturing, e-commerce, and distribution.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, freight forwarders, carriers, and other industry partners.
  4. Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, pricing, and customer service, to ensure seamless execution of drayage services and exceed customer expectations.
  5. Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and industry trend analysis to identify market opportunities and position the company competitively.
  6. Prepare and present sales proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
  7. Provide regular updates, reports, and forecasts on sales performance, pipeline development, and market trends to management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven track record of success in sales, specifically within the drayage, transportation, or logistics industry.
  • Strong understanding of drayage operations, supply chain dynamics, and freight forwarding processes.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, industry partners, and internal teams.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales tools.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend industry events, and represent the company.
