Fitter Welder

We are seeking a Fitter Welder to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for joining metal pieces in a variety of scenarios, but you will primarily be fitting and tack welding multiple component pieces together to build a product which is ready for final welding. We prefer a history of certification from the American Welding Society, (D1.1) Instructions and procedure is determined through blueprint reading, supervision support along with a solid history of fitting large, heavy plate weldments together.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Review Blueprins and drawings to determine the most effective means of building a project. From table top to large "built off floor" projects.
• Ability to to self manage start to finish weldments, ability to use shop equipment as needed. I. E, programable saw, shear, hand tools, ect.
• Work in a fast pace environment. Experience based decision making resulting in jobs being completed on time, and of good quality.
• Follow all safety protocols and clean up your workspace upon completion

Requirements and Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED certificate
• An AWS certificate (preferred)
• Welding experience, fitting experience.
• Blueprint reading skills
• Physical stamina
