Ranch Manager

Description

We are looking for a Ranch Manager to join our team.

The Ranch Manager position requires a minimum of 8 years of animal experience and AALAS certification at the ALAT level or higher required. Strong team leadership and excellent strategic skills are a must. Responsible for the operations and manufacturing of SLI polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies.

Responsibilities

·         Ensure that all work is performed and completed following all regulatory guidelines.

·         Ensure that animal care is provided as set forth by the USDA and attending veterinarians.

·         Provide direction and support to staff.

·         Maintain accurate and detailed documentation in compliance with ISO and GMP.

·         Ensure that all personnel are adequately trained in the duties they are required to perform.

·         Create documentation as needed.

·         Obtain bids and write proposals for capital expenditures, repairs and facility and property improvement issues.

·         Complete annual performance appraisals for direct reports

·         Prepare and manage the annual budget for ranch.

·         Ensure continuous AAALAC accreditation status for the Ramona Ranch.

·         Maintain the property and equipment in top condition.

·         Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds. 

·         Regular, reliable and predictable attendance.

·         May be required to perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. This may include duties in another department or outside your normal scope of work.

 

Job Specifications:

• 8 years animal experience required
• AALAS certification at the ALAT level or higher required
• A high school diploma or equivalent
