Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking a kennel technician to join our team You will be responsible for the overall care and well-being of the dogs at our facility. Our shifts are either 7:00 am to 12:00 pm or 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm. We operate seven days per week. We prefer to hire a full time person, though for the right candidate we will consider a part time position.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle general care tasks such as feeding and exercising of the dogs
  • Keep records of dog feedings, progress, and other updates
  • Engage in play activities and exercise with the dogs
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in animal care or other related fields helpful
  • Passion to help dogs and their people
  • Ability to interact with dogs in a calm, non-threatening manner
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Career Trajectory:

  • Start as a kennel technician, show us your initiative, and move up into a training position or stay as a kennel technician
  • Trainers have set job descriptions to show candidates exactly what is needed to progress through the ranks, even up into a management role
  • Several of our kennel techs are students who appreciate a flexible, well paid position and the opportunity to build hands-on experience with dogs while still in school and do not desire to move into a training role.
