Family Support Specialist

Responsibilities:
- Responsible to assess family needs.
- Evaluate situations using discretion and personal judgment to adopt an effective course of action, to delegate responsibilities, organizes facts and present them effectively.
- Ability to use discretion and independent judgment to interpret and implement policies regarding family plans and advocacy.
- Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with peers, consumers and the public.
- Responsible for billing documentation- to be completed on a daily .
- Responsible to maintain strict confidentiality guidelines for interactions regarding consumer information.
- Responsible to participate in mandatory trainings such as CAPE and CPR, etc.
- Effectively organize and plan field work schedule to best service and maximize the needs of clients.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge and understanding of developmental stages
- Basic knowledge and understanding of treatment modalities.
- Excellent verbal, written communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Core competencies in relation to individuals with co-occurring disorders.
- Must complete the SOC Wraparound 101 training.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
